Frequently Asked Questions

During these uncertain times, we are continuing to take in-person appointments for bridal fittings at our Ryde showroom. As the Australian Government continues to respond to the COVID-19, please be patient as we update our business practices to ensure your safety and those of the community.

All wedding dress viewing and fittings will be by appointment only. That is, no walk-in customers will be accepted.

Similarly, we request that you come to your bridal gown fitting with a maximum of three (3) additional guests or as NSW Health advises. All visitors must wear a mask as per NSW public health regulation.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to helping you find your dream wedding dress.

The off-the-shoulder wedding dress is a neckline style that can be found on almost all silhouettes. For example, you can have an off-the-shoulder mermaid wedding dress, an off shoulder trumpet, an off shoulder a line, and off the shoulder ball gown wedding dress.

An off the shoulder wedding dress is one where the fabric of the garment does not cover one or both shoulders. Regarded as both glam and feminine, the off shoulder reveals the dcolletage and draws the eyes to your shoulders.

Elizabeth Taylor (in her first of 8 marriages) wore a satin gown with a silk gauze off the shoulder illusion neckline that had a full skirt and long sleeves. What a total badass babe!

Other noteworthy celebrity brides include Michelle Obama, Hailey Bieber, Heidi Klum and Emmy Rossum.

As OTS (off-the-shoulder) dresses do not have straps, one could say that they are somewhat similar to the strapless neckline style.

Most wedding gowns are designed with  a fitted bodice/waist this helps the dress stay on you throughout the day.

Pro tip: find a bra fitting specialist.

Bridal sizing is very different to normal clothing sizes. That is, wedding dresses tend to run smaller than your regular size.

We use the US standard sizing system and our in-store sample dresses range from size 8 – 12. A few of the sample gowns are available in plus sizes.

Most of our wedding gowns can be ordered in size 0 through 16.
