About Our Bridal Fitting Service
One of the advantages of visiting a physical bridal boutique is the ability to try on wedding gowns.
In our opinion, it is the only way to find your dream wedding dress and this is why we offer 60-minute fitting appointments so that you won’t feel rushed or overwhelmed.
There’s a reason why we have a 4.9 star rating from over 200+ happy customers.
Frequently asked questions
Bridal fittings can be a bit daunting when you’ve never tried on a wedding dress before.
But you’ve probably tried on clothes at a store before – while not exactly the same, the end goal is. That is, we’re here to help you find the dress that makes you look and feel great.
Here’s what you can expect:
- At your bridal fitting, you’ll begin by sharing your wedding vision and dress preferences with a consultant. This may take a few minutes and you’re more than welcome to bring in photos for inspiration.
- Your consultant will digest the information and select a variety of gowns, starting broadly and refining your choices based on style and comfort.
- You will be asked what you like and don’t like about each dress you try on – this will help us find the right style and vibe for you.
- During the fitting, our bridal fitting specialist will discuss adjustments and alterations to help you achieve the perfect fit (because every ready-to-wear wedding dress needs alterations).
Some customers have already browsed our collection of wedding dresses and know exactly which dresses they wish to try.
Other customers don’t know where to start.
Either way, its OK because we’re here to help you find the dress that resonates with YOU.
Our bridal fitting appointments are 75 minutes long. If you’re visiting us for a second time to try on a favourite gown, return visits are 30 minutes. Bridal accessory bookings are also 30 minutes.
The first bridal fitting is a 60-minute appointment where one of our specialist stylists will get a sense of what you’re after, show you a number of gowns, and let you try on a number of wedding dresses to see what style you prefer.
A return visit is reserved for previous Emerald Bridal brides who have already come in for their first fitting and wish to retry a favourite gown. The return visit appointment is 30-minutes.
Please be advised we charge a $30 non-refundable booking fee for first bridal fittings to reduce no-shows and to ensure we can serve as many customers as possible.
To avoid disappointment, we highly recommend that you use the contact form below to request a appointment.
Typically speaking, we are fully booked out on Saturdays as they are the most popular days so it is best you make a booking request in advance.
On Tuesday, appointments are necessary as we do not have staff present at the store unless someone has made a reservation for a bridal fitting. Please use our online booking feature to secure a spot.
We don’t limit the number of gowns you try on, however, in our experience, the magical number is three.
This is because three gowns give you ample time to know whether or not the dress you’re trying is right for you. Any more and you will start to feel rushed and that’s not an experience we want for you.
We charge a $30 non-refundable booking fee for first bridal fittings and bridal accessory bookings. While we understand this is an inconvenience, we do this to reduce no-shows.
We do not charge a booking fee for return visits.
Our business hours are:

Of course you may!
Most of our customers bring their best friend. Ideally, you want someone you trust who will give you their honest opinion because they know you and want the best for you.
Depending on your relationship, you may also consider bringing your mum.
We do, however, request that you bring no more than 4 guests to your appointment.
If you can’t bring someone along with you, you may FaceTime them during your fitting to get a second opinion (but sorry, no photos).
Photos are not permitted during your consultations, however:
- FaceTime or video calls are welcome
- If the gown you’re trying is discontinued, you or your guest may take photos of it or of you wearing it.
